Here are 10 common departments that you’ll probably come across in a new job!
1. Executive Team ๐
The executive team are the group of people that manage and lead the organization. ๐Members of the team can include the:

- CFO – Chief Financial Officer ๐บ๐ฐ (in charge of finance)

Procurement teams are responsible for buying products and services for an organization. They are usually in charge of:

Tech support teams are responsible for things like:

- Setting up technology like Wi-Fi, computers, and phones for you to use ๐ถ

Information is sooo valuable to organisations, so they need to protect it ๐ช๐ฆธโโ๏ธ
Security teams are responsible for protecting companies from people doing things like:
- accessing secret information without permission ๐๐
- using secret information for bad things ๐ฆนโโ๏ธ
- telling other people secret information without permission ๐๐ฌ
- disrupting the business e.g. the website getting hacked ๐๐ฃ
- changing/modifying information without permission โ๏ธ๐คซ

Information security teams protect the business by doing things like:
- securing office buildings and computer systems ๐ข๐
- tracking where important information is stored ๐๐
- creating rules for employees to follow to protect information ๐โ๏ธ
- paying “ethical hackers” to try and hack into the company (so they can learn where they might be vulnerable) ๐ฉโ๐ป๐
- monitoring and scanning computer systems for any vulnerabilities ๐๐ต๏ธโโ๏ธ
- making sure that the company follows data protection laws ๐งโโ๏ธ๐
- writing “disaster recovery” plans to follow in case of an emergency ๐๐ช๏ธ

Facilities teams are responsible for providing offices with things like:
